Palliative Medicine Services

Palliative Medicine of Acadiana provides specialized medical care focused on pain and symptom relief for people with a serious, chronic illness. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family. With specially trained doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers, we work together with a patient's physician to provide an extra layer of support. Palliative care is appropriate at any age and at any stage in a serious illness - and can be provided along with curative treatment. Through our sister company, Hospice of Acadiana, we have extensive experience providing individualized, patient-driven care.
