The Foundation
The purpose of The Foundation is to:
- Implement diverse fundraising activities.
- Allocate funding to Hospice of Acadiana, Inc.
- Manage financial resources including investments and disposition of assets.
- Make grants to other local, nonprofit organizations whose mission and programs align with and/or complement the mission of Hospice of Acadiana, Inc.

The Hospice of Acadiana Foundation is a publicly supported, tax-exempt corporation which was created by the Board of Directors of Hospice of Acadiana, Inc., a non-profit organization. The Foundation serves as the primary fundraising organization to help underwrite many of the support programs and services of Hospice of Acadiana, Inc. The Foundation was established in May 1996 and was granted non-profit status under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code in May 1997.
