When one Hospice of Acadiana patient fell too ill to care for his adopted chihuahua, Precious Dog, he requested that a new home be found for her. The problem was that Precious Dog was shy and timid, which made her owner afraid that she wouldn't want to leave his home.
Pet Peace of Mind jumped on the case immediately, looking into Precious Dog's origin of adoption, only to find that her real name was Loretta Lynn! When they arrived to pick her up, one utterance of "Loretta Lynn" was all it took for her to jump into their arms. After an update on shots and a check-up at the vet, Loretta Lynn went to a foster family—a family that adores chihuahuas! Thankfully, Loretta Lynn was safe and cared for in her new foster home before her owner passed away. He died peacefully knowing that his pets (including his fish!) were in new, loving homes.
